Auckland Zoo

You are here Home  > North Island  > Auckland Region  > Auckland >  Auckland Zoo

Although it’s not a huge attraction for international visitors, Auckland’s zoo is quite good considering the city’s relatively small population. The zoo has all the major African animals, but the main attraction is native animals such as the kiwi and tuatara.

Animals are adorable, great for family! It would be great if the signages are more visible.

Well laid out and planned. Lovely for families to visit. Evening zoo times and tickets can be much cheaper.

Зверям нетесно, в отличии от людей.

Уникальное сочетание зоопарка и Ботанического парка. Также есть множество детских площадок. Звери не обделены и выглядят довольными!

Make sure you get in at the right time for animal encounters for interesting trivia. The volunteers & zookeepers are very helpful - so ask them anything! The enclosures are very thoughtfully designed.

A great zoo actually. Good place to see New Zealand wildlife also if you are a visitor without an opportunity to travel the country

The watering hole is a great stopping point on a hot day. Maybe bring togs for the kiddies

If you want to see kiwi - try to come between 1:30-2:00 it's their feed time.

In summer and during holidays the zoo is packed and the 2 car-parks are full by 10am so if you're driving be prepared to walk from wherever you find to park!
