Get a leave pass so you can double dip. Go in in the morning, leave for lunch and head back in afternoon.

Increasing number of pool options here. Some are chlorinated, but many are the natural spring water and it just seems to be getting better

Good amenities, clean and modern. Proper food too, not all just deep fried hotdogs and chips.

Handmade pizzas are great but the homemade pies are superb. 10/10

Hanmer's a bit out of the way - but if you're passing by, it's known for the hot springs.

Had a good cooking for one and a half hours in the 9 degree Celsius weather

Most of the pools are chlorinated! Not much of a health benefit 👎🏻

Great at night - warm water and beautiful stars. The skies are clear here so you can see a bit of galaxy swirl

The hot pools are wonderful: the coffee from their shop is not. Enjoy your time, but head over the road for your coffee fix - or bring a coffee with you.

Make sure you have lots of liquid after massage.

This tip is for the venue; allow people to buy tickets for ease of congestion later. Surely that makes sense?

Great day out with the kids, they love hydro slides and are collecting the wristbands

The pools are all chlorinated, and very crowded. If you're going for the health benefits, head up to Maruia Springs instead. Hanmer just feels like your local council pool, heated up.

I suggest that if u r w/ ur partner that you book a morning steam & massage at the spa, then go for lunch, then go 2 public pools, then book a priv pool at the spa. That way u get 2 use the spa shower
