Palmerston North Airport (PMR) has domestic flights to Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, Nelson and Wellington.

The airport is only 5km northeast of the city centre. The local Feilding–Palmerston North bus stops at the airport, stopping every 30–40 minutes, and Super Shuttle run minibuses meeting all flights.

    Don't be too early as the procedure may take 5 minutes and the airplane is right in front of you. Very nice and friendly airport.

    If you don't want to park when picking someone up, just wait around on the road, not in front of the airport.
