It’s a small airport. So drop your luggage after check in. Head to the mall opposite airport for some food. Then back here to the departure. Nothing much inside this airport

Very busy little airport. Free Wifi. A newly opened lounge for departing Virgin and Qantas passangers. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Only come 2 hours at the earliest for international flights as they won't let you through customs if you're too early.

Don't arrive early. This airport doesn't let you go through security until 90 min prior to departure, which means that you can use lounge for 10-15 min. Also, there is only 4 power plugs by rest rooms

Allow extra travel time as the security screen takes very long - poor queue control, and unexpected/unnecessary extra security clearance, even if you have kids. Such a bad experience ending holiday.

Always crazy busy at any time of the year. Looking forward to some future date when the airport gets airbridges so as not to have to walk across the tarmac in subzero temperatures in winter.

Friendly airport, but that seems to be the same in all the airports I used when I was visiting New Zealand.

Just arriving? Don't book tour packages at the airport - wait until you get to Queenstown. (No airport markup, you'll just have more to options to choose from in town).

Our flight got canceled so we had to stay and sleep at the airport for the night. Free wifi allowed to stream Netflix on our phones, that was pretty sweet.

Forget the carpark during busy times. It's a circus.

If you are waiting a while for a flight jump outside and walk to the bottom of the runway, great views as planes takeoff/land.

Nice small airport but no food after security for shorter flights.

Get breakfast before you go to the airport. $34 for a full breakfast is ridiculous
