Closed indefinitely from April 2018 due to the buildings being unsafe in the case of an earthquake

Worth the stop just to watch the tuatara video.

Visit the tuatara at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery – kids love them and its quite fun trying to spot them in their enclosure – even for adults!

You've got to check out the live tuataras, watch out at the cafe it's pricey!
